Caffe Espresso

Acidity, sweetness, and bitterness are three main characteristics of a great shot of espresso. The name itself, espresso, comes from coffee-making method. A robust and aromatic cup of espresso is brewed instantaneously.

How Espresso Coffee is made. Caffe Espresso Video

In espresso machine pressurized water is forced through the coffee grounds, as a result it extracts flavors, oils, and other soluble components as it passes. To make a cup of espresso the pressure is on average 130 lb. per square inch of coffee grounds. Another fun fact is that it takes about 52 coffee beans to make a cup of single espresso shot. The golden crema on top of espresso shot is a sign of great quality of beverage. It is achieved not only by specific pressure but also the type of coffee beans and amount of oil they contain. As every aromatic shot of espresso contains caffein it has a number of benefits if consumed responsibly. I will name just a few: strengthens long-term memory, improves concentration, boosts physical activity, is high in antioxidants and aids in weight loss.
